The honest version in one paragraph
There are exactly two Wegovy "coupons" that materially change what you pay: Novo Nordisk's Wegovy Savings Offer (commercial insurance only) and Novo's own NovoCare self-pay price ($349/month, $199 for the first two months). Everything else — GoodRx, SingleCare, Optum Perks, "coupon code" sites — either produces a worse number than NovoCare or does not apply to Wegovy at all. Cost Plus Drugs does not sell Wegovy. Below is each option with its terms, expiry and the price it actually produces, verified October 2026.
Every Wegovy discount, compared
| Option | Who qualifies | Real monthly price | Key terms / expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wegovy Savings Offer (card) | Commercial insurance that covers Wegovy | $0-$25 | Max 13 fills/yr; valid through 12/31/2026; renews annually |
| Wegovy Savings Offer (not covered) | Commercial insurance that excludes Wegovy | ~$650 (up to $225 off) | Same card, same expiry; still beaten by NovoCare self-pay |
| NovoCare self-pay | Anyone with a prescription, no insurance needed | $349 injection; $199 first 2 months; pill $149-$299 | Month-to-month; no card, no expiry; ships from NovoCare Pharmacy |
| Costco + Sesame | Costco members | $349 ($199 intro) + ~$59 Sesame | Pickup in-store; membership $65-$130/yr |
| GoodRx / SingleCare | Anyone, cash only | ~$1,100-$1,300 | Cannot combine with insurance or savings card; worse than NovoCare |
| Cost Plus Drugs | — | Does not sell Wegovy | No coupon exists |
| Novo Nordisk Patient Assistance | Uninsured, income ≤ 400% FPL (Wegovy eligibility limited) | $0 | Annual re-application; Wegovy coverage under PAP is restricted |
| Medicare Bridge | Part D beneficiaries meeting BMI tiers | $50 max (LIS) | Savings cards prohibited on Medicare |
No insurance and $349 is still too much? Compounded semaglutide runs $119-$199/mo.

Cost Plus Drugs and Wegovy: the review people keep asking for
Cost Plus Drugs is a genuinely good pharmacy for generics — transparent cost-plus-15% pricing, a $5 pharmacy fee, no PBM games. It is not a Wegovy source. Semaglutide is sole-source from Novo Nordisk until at least 2031, so there is no generic for Cost Plus to buy at cost. Novo already sells Wegovy direct at $349, which is below what any reseller could achieve. The practical advice: use Cost Plus for your other prescriptions, and go to NovoCare or Costco for Wegovy. If you see a "Cost Plus Drugs Wegovy coupon" on a coupon aggregator, it is auto-generated filler, not a real offer.
Which option has the most favorable expiry and terms?
- NovoCare self-pay wins on terms: there is nothing to expire. It is a list price, not a coupon. You can start, stop and restart without re-qualifying.
- The savings card is the only option with a hard expiry (December 31 of the issue year) and a fill cap (13 per year). It re-issues every January, but Novo has reduced the benefit before and can do so again.
- Costco inherits NovoCare's terms plus a Costco membership renewal date.
- Patient assistance requires annual re-application with income documentation.
Which has the best customer service?
NovoCare — it owns both the card and the self-pay pharmacy, so eligibility and shipping problems are resolved by the entity that caused them. Costco Pharmacy is the next best for anyone who prefers a counter and a human. GoodRx has no medication-level service; a price shown in the app is a quote, and the pharmacist can decline it. Coupon aggregator sites have no service at all — they do not issue anything.
Where people legitimately look for lower-cost Wegovy
- Check commercial coverage first. If covered, the savings card is unbeatable at $0-$25. Ask HR for the formulary; prior authorization is usually required.
- Not covered or uninsured: NovoCare self-pay. $349, or $199 for the first two months. This is the floor for real Wegovy.
- Costco member? Same price, in-person pickup, with Sesame handling the prescription if you need one.
- On Medicare? Savings cards are illegal for you; use the Bridge program and Part D.
- Need under $349? The only legitimate route is compounded semaglutide through a licensed telehealth provider — a different product, not a coupon. See the price index.
Coupons that do not exist (and what the ad is really selling)
- "Wegovy $25 coupon no insurance" — the $25 price requires commercial coverage. Uninsured pages promising it are lead-gen for compounded programs.
- "Free Wegovy trial" — Novo does not offer samples of Wegovy to consumers.
- "Wegovy coupon code 50% off" — there are no codes. NovoCare pricing is applied automatically.
- "Buy Wegovy without prescription with coupon" — any site selling semaglutide without a prescription is selling an illegal or counterfeit product.
